Louis XV (1715-1774), Ecu with headband 1740 Q (Perpignan), very rare coin for this first struck year, except the mint of Paris it seems that this coin has only one copy for the mint of Metz and one copy for the mint of Perpignan, then it is the second copy known for this date and this mint, this coin is listed in "rarety 5" in the Gadoury and is one of the rares to be listed out of the quotation in the Droulers, on of the rarest coin for the collectors of ecus between 1726 and 1792, Gadoury 322 (Coins>French Royal>Louis XV (1715-1774))
